labor moves to change their ridiculous ways

Its about effing time! How this has been the case and status quo for so long I dont understand. This is a very momentus day where love trumps all in the game of narrow minded pollies vs humans. Read here.

'She has not publicly opposed a platform change but she does oppose changes to the Marriage Act which defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman.' SMH

flashback III

A disposition for a hurricane, hurling leaves, flying hair.

Went to the closing party of the Alliance Francaise French Film Festival. Was a little quiet in the beginning with blaring big band sounds. A little hard for conversation even in the next room. There were lots of places for lounging which was nice. You couldnt get pure blonde with the complimentary ticket which wasnt nice. Easy to get to, great venue. No MC which meant that there wasnt really any structure at all to the night let alone anything that made it distinguished as the closing party for the film festival. After awhile, more people arrived because the film had just finished. They came and left. It died down pretty quickly again. In the duration of the event it never felt like it was a full room which left it seemingly like an underattended party.

Prix: free entry and complimentary drinks if you had the drink tickets

2.5 etoiles for a certain ambiance but lacked certain qualities such as space for conversation and filling of venue

flashback II

So after rewriting myself into a replication of future carnivale im still keen as ever to immerse myself into the synth and disillusion of german bred boysnoize. It will be at the forum (which lacks convenience) but will no doubt bear witness to a display of rowdy revellers. On the eve of my third encounter with them, i am expecting the most and the worst from them. But moreso the most. I say this because my second encounter was underwhelming for the first fifteen minutes before they launched into a shattering rest of show. The first show was set in dessau germany, home of bauhaus and also the memorable boysnoize and i encounter which went on into the morning light at 7am. Boysnoize. Power.

flashback

That time of the year has arrived albeit my fave time of year, where inspirational people come two by two and blitz my mind in the most wonderful way possible. Semi permanent.

Sunny and sweat beads forming. Loungy cool air conditioned insides of the convention centre.

Semi permanent runs over two days and presents 12 artists who excel and make a definitive mark in their field. They speak of projects, their inspirations, their lessons learnt and give us a glimpse of their personalities and attitudes that allow them to be where they are now. Doing what they love, an avenue for hard work, accomplishments and collaborating with like minded people. Todays speakers so far are Tin&Ed and Jessica Hitsche, both whom i loved listening to and worked on amazing projects. Tin&Ed are two dudes from melbourne who do installations, photoshoots and illutrations. They create things that leave you pondering and are bordering on an almost sci-fi esque feel. Jessica gave us a great presentation which allowed us to access her great work as well as her warm and friendly personality. I admired them and their work.

Prix: $120 concession ticket for two days of inspiration and a giftbag of vouchers, pretty flyers and the 2010 Artists book.
Verdict: well worth it and ive only seen 8/12 speakers 5 etoiles
